Acadia National Park is a short ride from Eventide. Park visitors can enjoy a variety of hikes, walks on the beach and views from the Jordan Pond House.
The Main House, The Bunk House and The Ovens
Recently renovated, the charming cabin has an original main room with a fieldstone fireplace, as well as a modern kitchen, bathroom and bedroom.
Offering the privacy of a separate space for guests, the Bunk House includes a bedroom, bathroom and sitting area.
The property is built atop the unique Ovens, and has direct beach access. The large deck overlooks a panoramic view of the ocean.
4th of July!
Happy 4th of July, Eventide! We have spent the past two 4ths with you but we couldn’t make the trip this year. We miss you. Oh, and Happy Birthday, Sandy Taylor!!! The big 6-3.
36 Hours
Summer got booked up fast so I had to take it when I could get it; drove up Thursday morning (with a huge Stanley Cup size smile on my face) and enjoyed a few minutes of deck time before heading up Norumbega and around Hadlock Ponds. Today was a slow morning followed by a juggernaut cycling excursion on the Carriage Roads that took me around the island through Witch Hole, around Parkman Mtn, up Day Mtn and past beautiful Bubble Pond. I am leaving early tomorrow but not complaining. I will be back in 2012!
